    Smile First Terrarium

A co-worker of mine is moving in a few days and asked if I would like to buy her terrarium. For $25 there was no way I wasn't getting it!
There are only 3 types of plants in it and I honestly couldn't tell you what they are but I'm sure if I looked into it I could find out (I know at least 2 of them are sold where I work) but I really want to find out what the large one with the flower is. It needs a little work, but otherwise I got myself a pretty freaking cool terrarium for cheap, heck the tank is worth over $400 new

The biggest issue I see for the future is if I decided to get something like a tree frog or darts or anoles there is a gap at the top that leads back to where the filter is supposed to be. and I don't need them getting into there xP But I'll figure something out.

Anyone have suggestions for a species of dart/tree frog that is active during the day? Or maybe another critter to think about?

The flower is a bromeliad. lll reptile sells them and you can get them at Lowes/home depot.

I think a pacman could be cool, but I think it would either root up the plants or smash some of them xD though the samurai blues are amazing...

Thanks! I now just need to figure out what the tall spear looking oes are. I about smacked myself when I saw the name of the third plant. Pothos! Though I'm not sure if I'm going to keep that one or not...

The spear looking one is most likely some species of Snake Plant, which are fairly hardy but don't root very deeply. They're safe to use, though.

If you want something active during the day, look into some types of Day Geckos or something similar. You'd probably want to add a branch or two for more climbing surfaces, and some kind of hide (bamboo hollows work great). But the geckos would look great in there!

It might sound weird, but I'm looking for a pair of deer antlers to use as branches. I had used them before for gray tree frogs and I really like how they look. And I have just discovered a little gem called a Electric Blue Day Gecko which has been added to my list of possibilities.
I think I'm going to replace the pothos with something a little more "colorful" and I really would love to add a small orchid I just don't want to put too many plants in there.
