    Please help me decide!

I haven an opportunity to purchase one of the two which one should I go for. Not trying to breed, but this will be a forever pet so keeping that in mind either this albino or this super pastel. Super pastel is only 244 g female and more expensive. Albino is an adult male already. Thanks! I can't make up my mind.

I don't know much about quality albinos or pastels, so if you guys could chime in on the quality of these animals it'd be greatly appreciated!

    Once again, thanks!

I'm a fan of Albinos so I'd go with the male. He looks pretty contrasty too.

Yeah for a pet, I say Albino all the way. They have the WOW factor when folks see them.

i would also pick the albino. its medium to high contrast.

super pastel female would be MUCH better for breeding since for breeding you need more females than males, and its a codominant super-form.

but when looking for a pet, you get more bang for your buck when you choose a male. also a super pastel can get darker over the years, the albino will stay as it is.

when its a pet, you dont need to care if its a very good example of the morph or not, for a pet two things are much more important: is it healthy (eating good, behaving normally), and do YOU like how it looks?

Thanks for all the responses. I see that this albino actually has some nice contrasts for an albino. But what about the super pastel? Is it a good super pastel? or just average?

    Thanks!

I think the super pastel is a good looking one. Nice blushings on the back and high yellows. But like a post up above, they will start to brown out later on. I'm a pastel fan so I say super pastel. Plus it is a female and if in the future you decide you do want to try breeding you already have a great female... just my 2 cents though. Good luck with the decision, I don't think you can really make a bad decision in this case.

Will super pastels brown out as bad as a regular pastel or not as much?

i think not as bad as regular pastels, i think in general they darken out less and hold color better than regular pastel. But pastel is quite a variable gene, the only way to really predict how much it will change is to look at the parents and how they look after a few years. Maybe the breeder can provide you with images of the parents, apart from that, its always good to have as much data about the parents / grandparents as possible.

That's a nice albino. It's definitely a high contrast if it looks like that as an adult. Albinos do change as they age despite what the others have said. They tend to get lighter. My high contrast albino was orange as a baby and gradually turned bright yellow as an adult.

That's a nice super pastel as well, but doesn't have the same 'wow' factor imo.
Especially if you want just a pet.

A quality super pastel won't change much. It may turn a little tan-yellow color along the top half of the snake (where the browning out line is). But it won't be as dramatic as a regular pastel.
A poor quality one will end up looking like a brown pastel.

    I vote albino.

Is it just me (or possibly the picture angle) or is that albino a little on the thin side? He is pretty though.
