Major Feeding Concern !!
My male normal ball python is about 2 years old and has always been a good feeder until recently. It has came to the point where in the last 2 months he has only ate 1 random time and passed up about 5 other offerings. I was checking on him today and he looked extremely skinny. What should I do? Is there any explanation? Any help please!
Extra information I used to feed him f/t small rats once a week. Also he is usually a very docile snake but today he seemed very 'pissed off'. I went in to pet him an i pet the middle top of his body gently and he like twitched, to me it seemed as his way of saying 'gtfo' haha but he didnt try strikin at all.
Thanks a lot, any help will be appreciated

Yes. It is very odd for him to have lost enough weight in only 2 short months that you could see the difference. It may be time for a vet visit to rule out parasites. I've had my males go off food for 5 and 6 months, and I couldn't look at them and tell they had lost weight, that is why most people invest in a digital scale, so you can track for sure any weight loss or gain.
Unless he was very underweight to begin with, I'd really be suspecting parasites about now. At 2 years old, even a six month fast should barely faze him. I know as a rule snakes don't get parasites easily, at least from what I understand they don't, but I would be really worried he lost that much weight that quickly.

Re: Major Feeding Concern !!
I don't know his weight. Also I have never changed anything other then move him from a 10g tank to a 28qt tub a while back. I use newspaper as substrate. Hot side is about 91 during the day and 85 at night. He has two hides a hot side and cool side and the cool sides temp is about 75-80. I'm going to go out and get a electronic scale so how much should he weigh?

It's hard to say. You might have better luck uploading a picture of him. Healthy BPs, especially adults, are heavy-bodied, much more round than triangular. If he's relaxed and looks triangular looking along his back, then he's skinny and something's wrong, especially if he's only been off feed for two months.
