    Sterilite #1960 Tubs vs CB70

I am looking at getting a new rack and am considering either a Reptile Basics CB70 rack or a Boaphile Ballroom RhinoRaxx. I currently have a Reptile Basics Sweaterbox rack with Iris tubs and like how easy the tubs are to clean with the smooth surface.

The Boaphile uses Sterilite #1960 tubs. Are these tubs also smooth surfaced or are there areas that are indented that would be difficult to clean?

    Sterilite #1960 Tubs vs CB70

I hate the 1960 tubs. Rounded ends and a channel all the way around the bottom. I wanted a new rack the first night after my Ball Room rack came in.

Boaphile makes nice racks, but the lead times are out there (he makes one one week, another the next, so on) and customer service is not as good. I emailed Boaphile a question two months ago and have heard noting. I have also heard service issues from other Herpers. To me, as with any business where there are options, customer service keeps me coming back. That's why I order enclosures from Animal Plastics and other stuff from places like Reptile Basics. Good stuff, AWESOME service, and a great relationship.

I've used both and hated the sterilite tubs. CB70 is the way to go.

I like the V70. I did a video on the CB70 compared to the V70

Re: Sterilite #1960 Tubs vs CB70

OK you guys have talked me out of the Boaphiles One other option someone mentioned is the Animal Plastics racks. I saw they have a CB70 version that looks cheaper than the RBIs and I read that you can also use the ARS 70 series tubs with cup holders in them.

The only thing I saw was that the heating options were 3" belly heat (seems too small of a heating area for these tubs) or the dual side radiant heat. I am not familiar with this type of heating and I didn't see an explanation on their site. How well does this heating perform? I live in Indiana and the room temperature is around 70 degrees in the winter. I do use a small space heater to help keep the area with the snakes warmer though. Also, I think I read that the Animal Plastics had to be assembled. Is it difficult? I'm not the greatest with putting things together.

I'm partial to the FB70CD, best tubs out there IMO.
