    Possible RI?

I thought my ball python had a respiratory infection- however before I took him to the vet he went through a shed. When his head finally shed- I noticed that he hasn't seemed to wheeze or show any signs of an RI since. So my question is, is that is it possible his shed was causing him to wheeze and what are the sure signs to tell weather he has a respiratory infection. He hasn't been drooling but he has been yawning frequently
