A feeding story...(cue the chirping birds)
Last night was feeding night. He is also in deep shed, he doesn't mind. I prepared his rat like always, dangled it by the tail on his tongs, and on accident, drop it as soon as it is over him in his tank. He nails it, mid-air, like a dog! Only he nails it on the rats butt... After quite a few minutes of trying to figure it out, getting one hind leg in his mouth, etc., he lays it on the substrate and kinda lays on top of it like a chicken on an egg. Sits there for a minute, looks around, then slowly comes up to the glass where I'm watching him closely. He lightly bumps his nose on the glass 3 times and backs up right behind the rat in his "S" strike pose. I then reach in very slowly and pick the rat up with my fingers. Re-tonged it up, and tried again. He instantly nails the head this time, and swallows it no sweat! I dunno, maybe you had to have been there...but it was certainly special, so-to-speak. I love that lil guy!!!

Probably talking to myself here, but whatever. My kid's Science & Technology teacher asked if I would donate my snakes sheds for their classroom. Yup, absolutely!
