    Does your BP bask?

Hey guys just wanted to know if your ball pythons ever bask for those of you who keep tanks with overhead heat. My snake will go on top of one of his hides and stay like that for a hour or more under the red heat bulb. Never saw a ball python do it.. Heres some pics

Occasionally. Not for very long, tho. Maybe 5-10 minutes in between moving from hide to hide. My lamp isn't really turned up much, so maybe he's just "stretching his legs"...?

Does he still use the hides?

Since I blacked out the side walls halfway up my exo terra, my albino has been wedging between the wall and his warm hide below the CHE. Usually only in low light like early morning.

Also, whenever I put him back after handling, he tends to go straight for one of the branches below the CHE and curls up for about 20 minutes before hiding again.

He uses his hides but he basks more then using his warm hide which the UTH is set at 93 but keeps above the substrate about 90 degrees. He would rather bask on a hide then warm up in there but he still uses both hides.

Also he comes out alot more then ive seen in a BP. Not trying to get out but just moving about or "basking". The sides are all balcked out also and he doesnt really look for a way out anymore and my presence does not make him retreat ethier so i guess hes used to me being in the room.
