    Need advice

I'm trying to decide which snake to get. There is a male clown or a female honeybee. What would be a better choice? I have 4.5.0 ball pythons and I want to know if I should get more females. But I like the clown gene though.

clowns are awesome, but for breeding you only need 1 male for 3 or 4 females. If you really want to get deep into the clown gene, by all means, go for a male clown. But maybe a female clown is better, you already have a few males.

so i would opt for the honeybee

    Know what you want.

You should know what you want. I'm a little male heavy right now. So what. I got what I wanted. I like the clown better. If you like the clown better and you can only afford a male so be it.
If u buy a clown female you'll have to wait to grow it. 2 yrs+. At 18 months you can add a male or het male cheap. Be producing in 3 yrs.
If a male you can breed in 1 season. Produce hets grow them. 2yrs+. Breed your male to them. And there you go.
Id say with a male it will take an extra year but is cheaper to start.
Clowns are more valuable than spiders or ghosts. Demand is another factor to consider when selecting a morph. You will have to find homes for some of those babies.
I purchased a het pair of clowns in early 2011 they were both around 90grams. They bred this month. She's at 1700gr and he is 800gr. Keeping my fingers crossed for a boy.
