So i think i got or am lucky with my two boas.I feed f/t. my dumerils will only take the food if i set it in front of her. she doesnt strike or constrict. just opens her mouth and the rat goes away. the guyana i just got the first time i fed him he struck and took it out of the tongs. as you all know i posted how agressive he was. last night i tried feeding him and used the tongs. he struck but not at the rat. he struck at the top of the tail/tong area. then backed up in a corner. i set the rat in there and boom it was gone. so both my boas i can just set the rat in the tank and it is gone. no zombie dance for me!
Also on a side note. im sure evenstar will chime in and i hope she does. He had mites so i treated with reptile spray and all the mites are killed. he has not soaked and calmed down even more with the mites gone. well here are a few sticking out under a scale here and there. most came off but i dont want to pick the last few out. will they fall out with normal handling or come off with the next shed or do i need to pick them out?
