Inexperienced opinion here, but I think in that case you just leave it alone until it breaks on it's own. I think if it is still attached it is still providing nutrients. Boa breeders feel free to correct me.

I am not sure about the live birth, with balls and being attached to the egg you have to intervene. This little guy seems to be strong and is doing well but is still attached. I am so excited, like christmas here tonight folks woo hooo

Leave it be! Yes, it is still providing nutrients. The baby will break it on it's own.

Gently and carefully remove the mother and set her up in a clean enclosure. Leave the babies alone for a while. They will all begin to move off away from the birth area. Let them do so on their own. Some may still be absorbing the yolk (you may notice some of the babies have large-ish bellies - that is the yolk from the internal sac in which they were born). Once the yolk is absorbed and the bellies go down, they will move off to a drier area.

When you notice the babies begin to move around the enclosure, you can remove those and set them up in their own individual small tubs (I would use very damp paper towels - will help keep them humid and it's the most sanitary for neonates). When all the babies have been removed, you can thoroughly clean and disinfect the original enclosure and return the mother. Make sure the cage has been cleaned VERY well. Some boa moms will continue to refuse food if they can sent the birth sacs and ambiotic fluids at all.

Congratulations on your babies!!! I hope you post some pictures - even of the pile of baby goo! We like piles of baby goo.........

Re: Need advice right now in real time

Thankyou very much, I have left the yolk attached and moved the babies to the baby rack on wet paper towel. I have been gone most of the day and the babies were already moved around the enclosure and exploring the back corners. Only one nippy one and it is such an awsome looking snake, calmed down now and sweet as hell lol. What a day to quit smoking, that is down the tubes. I started writing this 10 minutes ago but am ruinning around sorry. But thankyou everyone
