    shed stuck in nose

Today has been really frustrating. I noticed my ball python shedding but it was coming off in pieces so I went by the advice on the sticky about having a bad shed. However I managed to get all of my ball's shed off except for his face and now it is stuck in his nose. I feel like I'm at my wit's end trying to help him but obviously he doesn't really want to cooperate. does anyone have any advice? he occasionally makes a squeaking noise because he can only breathe out of one nostril right now. :/

I would just leave him alone. You could be stressing him out. As long as you correct your humidity issues, it should come off for the next shed.

You can put it in a damp pillow case for about 30 minutes. Make sure the pillow case is a low thread count and does not hold water or trap air. After that keep the humidity up in the cage for a few more days and it should come off. You can also create a humid hide with damp moss in the hides or damp paper towels in a container the snake can freely enter and exit us the cage.

If that does not work just leave it be and make sure you correct your issues so the next shed goes well.
