    Feeder rat prices at Expo?

Hi everyone, I am planning on picking up feeder rats in almost all sizes (hopefully) at the next Expo I go to. The last time I went to an Expo I overlooked the feeders altogether, and never checked prices... Could anybody give me a ballpark price of what I'd pay for frozen feeders in bulk there, so I know how much cash I would need to bring with me? I don't want to bring too little and not be able to pick up a BP if one reeeeaaaally caught my fancy Would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Find out the feeder vender who will be at the show and then look them up online. Most don't offer discounts so it will be the same online as it is at the show.

Aww you got a sweet deal. I just got home from NARBC Arlington, TX and I paid 34$ for 20 weaned rats. I don't mind though. Still the best price around. Too bad only one person was there selling rodents.

I paid $450 for 240 small rats and 75 weaned rats. And that was for a delivery because I was to busy to make it to the show haha.

I checked prices for the vendors that will be at the Expo, and there is a lady about three hours from me who sells frozen mice and rats... for WAY cheaper than what I've found for at the Expos. Only problem is, she doesn't ship yet. I have to drive two hours to do a pick-up, which I think I am going to do again this next weekend. I've gotten one order from her and they are great! Her medium Rats are $1.60 ea, and if I remember correctly, her rat pups were .95, pinkies were like .80. I told her she needs to start shipping!!

The cost of gas is about the same as shipping. I would just buy a lot in bulk and do a trip maybe once a month or once every two months. At least get your money worth!

Yes I think I'm going to do that - I ordered a month's worth last time, and then picked up a few more snakes... lol now I'm almost out of pinkies. I'll make a bigger order this time! It'll be worth the drive - when we go there we also always pick up blue crabs for dinner! Yumm

If you can afford it I would purchase 2-3 months at a time. Just depends how much your time is worth. How far is too far?
