Abscess on head?
Not sure if I've got a snake with an abscess or not.... it's an adult female ball we took in about a year ago from a person who swore up and down she wouldn't eat for them (I know the guy...he's lazy). She's never skipped a meal since we got her, even around shed time. He had fed her live, but we've always fed frozen/thawed. On top of the head, directly in the middle, she's got a recurring swell. We first noticed it about three months ago. It's firm, but there's some give to it, and it will be *kind of* big for a week or so and then go away with no sign of it for a couple of weeks before coming back. Again, she's yet to skip a meal or anything like that, so I'm not sure what to make of it.
Thoughts? There's only one vet around here that will see snakes, and he's booked until the 14th since he's the only vet at his practice.
