So I have a 950g female who has been sitting in her water bowl almost non stop for about 2.5 weeks. No mites (that I can see), no sign of an upcoming shed. Up until 5 days ago she was as in a custom enclosure in which she had 3 hides - 1 hot, 1 cool and a humid hide. Since then she has been moved to a rack where humidity has been more stable (in the 50s). Any ideas why she is doing this? I've only had her since November but she has never sat in her water dish before. I guess my main question is whether or not it may be potential harmful for her to continue this. Would it be wrong of me to simply swap her water dish with something too small for her to soak in? Not sure if this is relevant or not but she has been on a feeding strike since December 31st. It is my assumption that this is simply her 1000g strike. Any input is appreciated.
