Stacking Animal Plastics enclosures
I am looking to order a couple T-8 enclosures from Animal Plastics and stack them since I have limited space. Up until now, I have only used individual enclosures with heat lamps, UTH pads, and misting when needed. Although I would love a separate snake room where i could keep optimal temps, they currently sleep with my wife and I in our bedroom (quietest room in the house)...ROTFLMAO. Obviously we keep our bedroom cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter so the lamps, UTH, and misting have been great.
Besides some flexwatt, what else do you guys use or do to keep stacked enclosures at optimal temps/humidity especially in a mixed environment since heat lamps don't appear to be an option? (NOT a fan of tub racks).
Thanks ahead of time.

You will probably need radiant heat panels installed in each cage. The UTH will do very little to influence low ambient temperatures.

Re: Stacking Animal Plastics enclosures
During Winter months, being upstairs, it's around 78 degrees. During the summer, around 74 degrees.

Flexwatt along with the optional fluorescent light fixtures will easily be able to keep the temperatures in the proper ranges. Additional heat sources aren't necessary with AP cages unless the room is really cold (below 68)

Re: Stacking Animal Plastics enclosures
I guess I'll order them in with the fluorescent fixtures and see. If I need a RH panel, I guess I'll have to get a RH panel.
THANKS!

You keep your house hotter during the winter than you do during the summer? That's different - I definitely wouldn't want your heating bills.

I have RH panels and under tank heater and it is almost to much. I have too lower the thermostat way lower for the hot spot, to get optimal temperatures.
