    Your thoughts on this Albino.....

So Im looking for an Albino female for my collection & came across a local small breeder that has this girl for sale & asking $300 For her. I'm not sure of exact age but im guessing late 2012 since she is so tiny. I know a lot of people prefer high contrast albinos & she doesnt appear to be but will her colors get better as she gets older? What do you say? Any thoughts on her?

Maybe it's just me, but that pic looks REALLY distorted. She also looks extremely shiny, like she hasn't had her first shed yet. If she hasn't shed, then she hasn't eaten (big red flag, especially at only 45g). It is also easier to see what they will really look like once they have had at least one shed.

45 grams is like a tiny new hatchling. That picture, I'm guessing is from even before first shed. Color wise, I'd pass. I paid $300 plus shipping for this-

"shes very small but eats frozen thawed mouse fuzzy weekly"
That was a reply to my request for pics & weight.

    Your thoughts on this Albino.....

You need to ask when her last shed was, her hatch date, how many meals she's taken, and whether the pic is current. Any decent breeder will have this information, even if they have to go look it up. I'm not saying the seller is lying, but I would swear that is a pre-first shed photo.

also looks like yours is a good eater... But yeah I wasnt expecting such a small snake this time of year so I havent asked about shed or hatch date. I would hope they would send a current pic since I did ask about her weight when I e-mailed them.

The fact she's at 45 grams raises a lot of flags for me. Things that come to mind- she's not eatting, she's sick, she was a runt, etc. It's not a good deal let alone a great deal for you to take the risk on her. I'd pass on this one and spend that $300 on something else.

Quick search of San Diego-cl turned up 3 albinos (male- $350/each) 1 female $450. And one pretty nice albino w/setup someone is trying to unload to keep the wife happy.
