    Help baby bp not eating

I picked up a beautiful lesser a few weeks ago. She came over night, really tame, just stunning. Put her right into a tub and left her alone for a week. I've had a her a week and a half, she pooped last friday, and I went to feed her today, and she's literally ignoring the rat pup. Like she sat on top of it as it was squealing and trying to get out. She's back in her tub in her hide, but I'm a little worried. She's 81g, not showing bone or anything. But should I wait another week before I try again? She's so tiny. I'm worried about losing her. I've gotten ball pythons that are 150g and they were easy to get into our schedule and swing of things but I'm so unfamiliar with how tiny she is and how fragile she can be. :[ HELP!

Try leaving the pup in overnight. What is your setup like (tank/tub size, hides, temps, etc.)?

Wait, just reread your post - Are you moving her to feed? Don't.

I too read you are moving the snake to a second tub to feed many will not at all after the stress of moving tub to tub.

The best is to feed in the 'home tub'. Small snakes almost always eat so one not is usually related to stress (moving to a feeding tub for example) or temps. make sure your temps are spot on, typically many feel 80º cool and 90ºF warm with air temps in the 77-85º range are a good range. little snakes like your can run a bit cooler warm spot temps as well I personally use 88ºF until the 200gm mark. With the same ambient and cool temps.

Wow guys, spot on. I started my herp obsession with corns so i was always used to taking them out and then i grew on BP and now i have rack systems cause i was sleeping ont anks. I had juvies to adults and had always taken them out to give them more room, but i left the baby in her tub and just went to check on her and lo and behold, she is constricting the rat pup. Thanks so much guys! Problem solved.

And for reference I have tubs at 90 on hot spot and about 83-85 on cool side. Thanks so much!
