Did you get T8 or T10? I want to get 1 I'm still doing some research on them. I don't know if I should go with RHP or Flexwatt. If I go with RHP I'm going to get the T10 because it higher give me room for the RHP. If I go with T8 I'going use flexwatt. If anyone has an opinion I'm I'm all ear for it and see what everyone has to say.

finally ordered my animal plastics tank.

I went with a t8 with belly heat, two fluorescents and a herpstat 1. No complaints here.

I use an RHP for my green tree python, but belly heat is not appropriate for them. When I get a stack for my boas, I will be using the flexwatt. I think belly heat is best for some boas that may have more sensitive digestion than the average BP. But I also think belly heat is generally better for BPs since they utilize hides more than boas. The RHP will heat the top of the hide box, but it may be tricky to get the temp up to 90 inside the hide box.

Also, RHPs are a lot more expensive then getting the flexwatt from AP along with the enclosure. Don't get me wrong - I am a HUGE fan of the RHPs. I love how it works for my GTP, couldn't ask for better! But there are times when I think flexwatt is more appropriate.

evenstar, i know you plan on doing a stack and want to use flexwatt, but hear me out. you know i have a t-10 and a t-8. i have RHP in both of them and have them both on the same side. now here is the cool part. the RHP in the bottom tank works like flexwatt for my top tank!. my t stat for my bottom tank is set at 91, and my top tank is set at 86. both hot spots are 92, both ambient temps are the same. if i put my hand on the top of the top tank where the RHP is it is warm. not hot to burn something but dramasticly warmer than the cool end. so if you like the RHP just go with them. it is pretty bad ass. i am so glad i went with this set up. But i will be ordering a 4 bin rack for QT

monsterkx500. me personally i would go with the t-10. i know it is only 3 inches taller but it does make it a huge difference when cleaning and it just looks nicer. If and when i order another one i will be going with another t-10. that is just my opinion since i do have both....
