    Hungry or not?

Well, Steve hasn't been eating the past week. I assumed he was fasting...it's been colder this month and last month than any of the others, even if my room is kept fairly warm.
It's interesting because I'll offer him a mouse(the same kind he's been eating since we got him) and he'll act almost as if he's considering it. He'll investigate it a little, smell it, and basically size it up, then turn away and go to do something else.
Normally when he gets hungry he'll start being extremely active during the day. At the moment, he's very active, even going so far as to lift his head up to get on eye level with me. His behavior is a little confusing and no one really knows snakes around my area at the moment. I thought I'd ask someone more experienced.

    Are you offering every day?

If he is otherwise healthy I would just be patient with him. I feed my babies about once a week. If they refuse food, I just wait a week and try again. Same with my adults only the interval between feedings is longer. Constant offerings of food when he's not interested can be stressful for them, so I would just give him some space.

He is healthy otherwise. He doesn't seem to be losing weight, he's still active at night, he just doesn't feel hungry.
I was concerned since he was wandering and nudging things(looking for something? Scratching an itch?) not too long ago. Usually the 'looking' is his way of altering us to his food needs.
