pre ovulation aggression
Hi all. This is my first ever post as my better half, Josh, is much better at it
My question is has anyone ever noticed a female to become uncharacteristically aggressive pre or during ovulation? I have a breeder female who has locked with one of our males 6 times since November. Over the last few weeks she's been hanging out on the cooler end of her tub and i swear earlier last week i felt a few small follicles so i put the male back in and got our 6th lock. However, still eating like a champ and i havent been able to palpate them again. Though truth be told i tend to be over gental during palpation as i dont want to squish anything.
Now, this is her first year breeding at 1800gr and she has never shown an ounce of aggression. Last night she seemed gaurded andand acted as ifi she was going to strike.I will also note that last night we moved her into a larger tub where shea would haveyou a bitmuch more room. This morning her tub was opened to check on her and without warning she struck out at. We thought it was just because we woke her up or spooked her but she did it numerous times and she seems very gaurded and not like herself.
Heat and humidity are all nomal, she last at a small rat a few days ago.
She might just be cranky in the new home but figured i'd ask.
Thanks!
Kate
