Help keeping temps

I have a hatchling in a rub, using a heat Matt and struggling to keep the temps up on the warm side may I have some assistance please

What is your ambient room temp? Are you using a thermostat on the heat mat? What kind of thermometer are you using to measure your temperatures? What are your hot spot and cool side temps currently?

The room temp fluctuates as it's a bedroom and the central heating isn't always on I'm using a micro climate ministat 100 thermo stat and digital thermometers warm side is saying 30.3 and cool side is 18.9 (c) thanks

For those of use that stink at conversions, that's 86.5F and 66F. Your issue is that the room is too cool. You will need to use some kind of heat lamp, CHE, and/or insulation to warm the tub as a whole. The heat mat is only intended to raise that hot spot, not the entire room, which is one of the few drawbacks to tubs. If you can get teh tub's ambient temp to 24C (75F), the hot spot will naturally increase as well. Your hot spot is only a couple of degrees too cool, I'd be more concerned about the cool side temps.

Okay so basically insulate the whole rub, I'm getting lamps hopefully Saturday witch should sort the problem will she be okay overnight at these temps as I need to get some polystyrene to insulate the rub tomorrow? Once insulated will the cool spot increase due to the warm end being more effective

One more night won't kill her, just hold off feeding until you get those tweaks made. Insulation will help hold heat in, you'll just have to test it to see if it's enough. Make sure you don't fully cover up the air holes though, no air exchange can cause its own issues.
