    Playing the weather game...

I have been pairing these two since October. They have been together at least 8 times. They had just shown no interest in eachother whatsoever. They finally locked up one time right after she shed, and then refused to lock up again after many more attempts. I had pretty much givin up on getting another lock from this pair.

Well this weekend we had a winter weather front move through, the coldest of this winter, so I figured I'd give it another shot. Woke up to this...

Just goes to show that there ARE ways to get stubborn pairs to lock. The only times I have been able to get these two to breed with eachother was right after the females shed and during a strong weather front. After MANY attempts. Fingers crossed for KB's!

I almost always get lock ups right after the female sheds, I call that "prime time".
    Good luck!
