So the incubator I have rigged up only had space to put the heat tape on the ceiling. Any other wall I would have to leave the tape bent or bowed. I have one wire shelf in the middle of the incubator. Right now I have the fan and probe strapped there with the fan pointed up and centered on wire shelf. My temps right now are 87-88 on the top half of the incubator. On the bottom it dips down to 81.
Before I start drilling holes all over the place and moving the fan around, does anyone have advice on placement of the fan and probe to produce even temps through the incubator? I can pick up the L brackets and mount the fan anywhere. Should the fan be near the top pointed at the tape to try to move the hot air around? Should it be facing down to push the hot air down? To the side to make a circular air current or in the middle to make sure it moves the air evenly? How about probe placement for the most consistent temps?
Thanks
