    How many eggs fit?

This may have already been asked but when I tried searching I kept getting an error. So with that being said, for a typical size ball egg, how many will fit usually in a 6 qt tub?

The most I've had was 9, and 9 can be a tight fit. I use the substrateless method, though, so maybe with substrate it would be different. It also depends on if the clutch is stuck together or not.
Lots of BPs, and still not enough!

I built my incubator to only fit the 6 qt. tubs... I'll have to separate the clutch into two tubs if I get more than 9..

I use 7qt tubs and 9 eggs is the max but I usually stick to 8 unless they are clumped together.

What brand of tubs tubs are you all referring to or dies it matter? Anyone care to post a picture of a tub all set up, preferably substrate-less.

The 7 Quarts tubs available in stores http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-...of-14/15524838

15 Quarts for large clutches http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-...of-10/20699636 only have a handful of those, fit great with the 7 quart as they are the same height

This incubator fit (30) 7 Quarts Tubs or 10 (7 Quarts) and 10 (15 Quarts)

I prepare my egg box as followed for optimal humidity and minimum condensation

    7 Quarts tub

    6 Cups of vermiculite
    4 cups of water
    Light diffuser
    89 Incubation temp

No holes - no press and seal
