How long do you usually leave a new pick up alone???

So i just got a 2000g proven breeder Yellowbelly I handled her for 30 seconds when i got her home just to make sure she is ok. How long would u guys let her settle in for i was thinking about one week. And my feeding day is monday should i try to feed her she hasn't eaten in 8 days, maybe a meal would help her calm down

Yeah, about a week is the norm. I wouldn't handle her anymore until you get her to feed for you, though.

I say go for it, worse that can happen is that she refuses.

I fed my little guy three days after I brought him home and i handled him for a couple minutes on the way home from the show. He ate great, and has actually never refused a meal. It just depends on the snake. I'd go ahead and try.

In my case I waited two weeks, because my little guy came from really poor conditions. But a week should be plenty as long as she eats for you first.
I don't mind living in a man's world as long as I can be a woman in it.

Is a week just for adults? Should you wait longer for babies?

I know I'm in the minority here, but I always offer food same day I get a animal in. I know it's different but it has worked for me.

    I'm the same as Rob.
Try to feed but don't handle too much.
Then again none of mine really get handled a lot anyways.

I'll try and feed the same day or just wait until my next feeding day. Depends on the day I get them.
