Pied breeding direction =)

Hey guys!

I'm from quite far away, the Philippines to be exact, where ball pythons aren't as big yet as the US but are gaining on some popularity. I have this beautiful Female piebald which i acquired and hope to propagate in the next year or so. Anyway, I'm lucky to have some options thanks to efforts of past breeders in my country. Here are the choices:

Choice 1: Purchase a Male piebald (to breed with my female Piebald)
Choice 2: Purchase a 100% het Male and 100% het female (Breed the 2 hets together and breed the male with my female pied.) (Additional info: The 100% hets are offsprings of a male pied and a female spider)

The cost of the male piebald is around 1,500 usd while the het-pair is 1,0000 usd for the 2 snakes. Though there is a difference, I'm lucky to have the 1,500 usd and I'm just thinking if it's worth the extra amount for sure pieds or if i should go for having 2 females and having my hopes up with the het pied male while saving some cash.

What do you guys think? The reason why I'm breeding is to get more pieds! I really really love them and I hope to promote our hobby of ball pythons in my country through inspiring people through their immense beauty =)

I would go with the Pied male. You'll get an entire clutch of Pieds. If you breed a het male to a Pied and a het, there is still a chance that you could get zero Pieds from the breedings. I would go for the guarantee and breed a Pied x Pied. Also, if you did het x Pied and het x het...you may still end up with the same amount of Pieds or less.

Is that $1,000? I think you find HET pieds cheaper. But even so I think the pied if for sure the better choice. If you have a visual pied female already I just get a visual pied male. And when you have babies that's all there is PIEDs!
