Found what looks to be an injury on my Pied. Thoughts?

Hey guys, it's been a while since the last time I posted here, but I'm having a bit of a crisis here.

My pied shed this last saturday (not a perfect shed, but good, in 2 solid pieces), and on sunday I noticed what I thought to be like a really small patch of stuck shed right besides his left eye. I didn't pay much attention, because I thought it was just good ol' stuck shed.
However, when I picked him up this morning, it was clear that it's an injury of some kind, looks somehow like a burn, and there appears to be some 'meat' exposed. And on his right eye, the area is starting to change in color a bit.

It is possible that it was the rat I fed him last week, but I'm not so convinced.

my guess would be, that it has somthing to do with the incomplete shed. How is the humidity in its tank? It could be from it rubbing its head on items in its enclosure to loosen the skin on its head?

Looks like a rat bite. Don't worry, it will heal.
