Water to replace perlite mix in egg tub

Is there anyone out here that uses water instead of perlite mix in their egg tub? I have heard of one breeder using this method. Obviously the eggs will have to be placed above the water without contact. Should I also put plastic wrap over the tub to keep in moisture? How about airflow into tub? Make a few holes in the plastic wrap?

The problem with using water and nothing else is that water will be sloshing around when moving the tub.

I use a substrate less method always have my technique is simple

7 quarts tub
Light diffuser
6 cups of vermiculite
4 cups of water

I have never used press and seal and never had holes in my tubs, the humidity is perfect without condensation building up and dripping on the egg.

Keep in mind using press and seal means you want to seal the tub so adding holes is counterproductive.
