Thanks for the responses, the jkrgear hook looks amazing but a bit pricy for me, Im thinking one of the RBI ones for home to work with my animals and then the Midwest tongs field hook, looks really sturdy and exactly what I was looking for.

    Where to get snake hooks

Add a guy called John Zegel on facebook. He makes custom made hooks, his are the best hooks you'll find.

I order from him from the UK, many of my friends also do the same inc professional venom extraction facilities over here.

x2 on John Zegel, He's a pleasure to deal with and makes the best quality hooks I've seen. I own a Midwest Tongs hook, and I'm not impressed. My tongs are quality for sure, so if you ever need them go with Midwest, but the hooks is essentially a golf club with 5/16" round stock in place of a head.

I cannot attest to the quality, but depending on the size of snake hook you need, you can find some longer ones here: http://www.forestry-suppliers.com/
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

I think John deleted his account but I agree he made me a hook that could handle the blood pythons and the anacondas and it has been the best hook that I have ever use. I also got one of his periscope hooks and I keep it in my car all the time and that thing work great.
