    Newspaper?

I heard newspaper is a good bedding and cheap. But let it sit a week for ink to dry however for humidity I use the misting technique and it works for me. But will that make the ink wet? And will it have an affect on my balls? Or any reptile for that matter? Need opinions!

Like to the point of smearing onto the snake and/or staining him/her. I can't imagine that being good for them

    Re: Newspaper?

I use newspaper without issue. The free real estate ads and store flyers work nicely. I always grab some on my way out of grocery stores.

It depends on what type of ink your local paper uses. Some inks run a lot when wet and can stain the belly of a BP, while others don't seem to have this issue at all. Personally I prefer paper towels/butchers paper over newspaper aesthetically and it doesn't have any chance of running ink.

Mine have never gotten ink on them and ive probably used 4-5 different papers. I dont believe the scales are a semi-permeable membrane so ink getting on them wouldnt matter.

Thanks for the inputs! All is much appreciated. I'll try some other flyers and possibly the paper towels too though I heard it can get expensive

I've heard albinos are more prone to getting ink showing up on them, which makes sense. Other than that, you should have no problems with newspaper. I personally use paper towels, but with almost everything in this hobby, your going to find things you like, and things you don't, and your style of keeping will change accordingly.
