I would not put a male normal into a breeding project unless it was a dinker or something.

From what I understand yes.. I'm new to this too haven't even gotton my girl yet.. But depending on what ur doing it can help... Say u have A BEL an breed it to a normal I believe u would get all lesser/Mojave/butter or whatever made the. Bel.. I'm sure I'll b corrected if I'm wrong tho..

Basically it will make more normals or more morphs of whatever morph it is bread to or a combo of both

Lol at "bread." No, normal balls are not that useful, especially males. With morph prices so low these days, you're much better off with at least a pastel. I've seen pastel males for as low as $50 at local expos.
    Herp derp.

What you are saying about breeding a Normal male to a female BEL is correct.
But that isn't going to help(move forward) any of your breeding projects. You can get a Super Pastel male to breed to that same BEL and produce all Pastel Lessers/Pastaves etc. Or use a higher end 3/4 gene male and have a shot at some very nice multigene animals!

I already got a spider on his way and plan on getting some females in a few months. Possibly cinnamon or pastel. I was just asking about the normal because i already have him. I didnt get him to breed just as my buddy.

Normals as pets are amazing! I have a female corn snake that I have zero breeding prospects for. she's my "pet" and my display snake.

Sounds like u already bought a male spider, but why not get your females this year then save up for a multi-gene male next year. It doesn't make sense for a breeder to buy a simple codom male first. Because you most likely won't be breeding him for 2-3 years anyway if you have to raise up your females as hatchlings.
