The clown gene tends to express itself in it's hets. (i.e brighter cleaner snakes. And sometimes the clown pattern can be seen)
Some het hypos are brighter than their regular counterparts.
And the pied gene sometimes makes wacky stuff happen in morph hets. (i.e. washes out pewter het pieds)
By definition animals that are heterozygous for a recessive trait look no different than normals.
That being said we have worked with Snake Keeper Line Axanthics producing poss hets (in the beginning), 100% hets and visuals. I would say there is a "look" to most of the hets from this line. Mostly they have some level of reduced patterning, a cheerio pattern on them and a yellowish coloration that "bleeds" up from the white bellies. But I also have the proven hets that look like any other normal out there.
So I guess you could say that some hets have "tells" in their pattern but it is subtle and not all hets have the "look".
