    Considering Xmas Money BP :)

    Hi everyone!

I have been lurking the forums for a while now, and think I am finally going to take the plunge and pick up
my own ball python! I used to have a corn snake back in high school, and had to find him a new owner
when I enlisted...and now that I am back home I am thinking it is the perfect time for a new snake

I have found a local breeder, it's the ARS Caging guys here in Indiana, and they work with high end morphs, and a "by product"
of their projects are Yellow Bellies. They sell them fairly cheap, and I was thinking about just getting a male/female pair while I was
    there.

I am going to use flex-watt to heat their tubs with, since I can get it from ARS, and they will wire it for free.
I was wondering about the tub size...
They are 2012 babies, and haven't been power fed...just kind of maintenance fed, so they would fit in 6qt tubs...
but I'm wondering if they would be okay if I just got them each a 12qt tub to start off in instead?

I am planning on picking up their tubs, water dishes, bedding, and some sort of hides tomorrow...flex-watt when I pick them up,
and they also sell the Vivarium Thermostats, so that is what I'll be using to control the heat...

Have I done my homework? Lol....I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything...please let me know!

You can start them out in 12 quart tubs no problem, you can even go bigger as long as you provide good hides.

Looks good, just remember that tubs cool side/ambient temperature are determined by the room they are in. This means that you have to keep the room that the tubs are in above 75 year round and closer to 80 is preferred.
