Thoughts? Just bought two (2) V221 Vision Cages for my Baby Ball Pythons

Just curious on anyones experience with vision cages. I just bought a baby Ball Python and am gonna get another in a week or so. I was concerned about getting a cage that was too big. Hope that the 28" width isn't too much. I also plan on installing an 11" x 11" 28 watt heat panel on the top of both cages. Thoughts??? This is my first thread and I look forward to hearing from some other BP enthusiasts

There is one thing I don't like about the vision cage. I don't know if this is on all models, but there is a ridge around the doors. My Kingsnake loves to climb in it but makes it a pain to clean out.

    Oh and welcome, sorry.

I dont know the size of that cage so I'm not sure if it's too big or I that heat panel is a good size.

Just make sure to place hides on the cool side and warm side. If it seems too big just add another hide, maybe some plants, etc.

Thanks for your help! The tanks are 28w x 22d x 14h... I ended up with the Helix 28 Watt Heat Panels....Now I am looking for a thermostat !!

Make sure that you off-gas the panel before you instal it in the cage. (plugging it in and running it at full power for a few hours outside or in a well ventilated area)

I start my BP's off in 24" x 24" x 12" (L x W x H) cages without any issues. As long as you provide proper hides and temperatures you should be fine.

Thanks for that tip....I planned on reading the installation guide but not sure if it would have told me that. Very helpful.
