Re: My male corn..Simone
He's so small! I only ever really see corns as babies and not adults.. They get better with age in my opinion! As babies they just look so fragile and tiny. He is purdy though

I don't *think* he has the bloodred gene in him. Either way he is a cutie!

Second this, he lacks the head pattern. To be sure though, if he has checkers on his belly then he is not bloodred (bloodred gets rid of all checkers on the belly).

He's a hypo motley and he may be het for bloodred. Not all bloodreds lack the checks on the belly, however. Quite a few of the pieds retain them surprisingly. He doesn't have the mottling of a blood though along the sides. Even as babies, you can see the color diffusing into one another. It's really rather neat to watch as they grow up.
The hypo gene is also one that seems to change them. They get brighter and more colorful as they age. It's always neat to see progression threads on those two genes.

I'm not seeing Bloodred in him either, but I wanted to point out that if he is a true Motley, he won't have belly checkers anyway. Hypo Diffused Motleys (Diffused is Bloodred) usually have a grayish or light colored head and as Dracoluna said...they have a great deal of mottling on their sides which is caused by the Diffused gene. He's still a gorgeous little guy and you could try to prove out the Bloodred (or het Bloodred) if you wanted to be certain.

Re: My male corn..Simone
I agree with everyone else. He doesn't have the bloodred gene in him. I will say he is definitely hypo and if he's got no belly checkers, he'll be motley. However, sometimes, bloodred and motley can easily be confused with one another because they take away the belly checkers. He's pretty regardless.
