    Coolest Looking Snakes!?!

What do you think is the coolest looking snake!?! My votes goes to the two below (not Ball Pythons.)

The links below will take you to a Google Images search page with lots of pics of these guys. What's your favorite?

    #1) Pictures of Atheris Hispida

    #2) Pictures of Atheris squamigera

Bush vipers (the type you posted) are pretty neat. Sea snakes can see with their tails, which is really amazing, but I'd have to say the Chrysopelea are my favorites.

Gaboons are cool but I prefer Rhino Vipers over them, but bush vipers, just awesome!

I can't pic there are so many cool snakes. Boelen's pythons, rough scale pythons, ruby eye green pit vipers, canary gtp, tentacled snake, elephant trunk snake, rhino rats, and I could go on all day.

Venomous snakes have such an amazing look to them. Their head shape is really unique and their scales are always rougher and wilder.

Are there any non-venomous species that fit that description but aren't venomous?

I'm no expert on hots, but I don't think so... pretty sure it IS the venom that gives them the unique appearance! Closest you'll probably get is something rear-fanged, like a False Water Cobra or Hognose. My Hognose is awesome, and likes to pretend she's a cobra sometimes.

P.S. The snakes in that first post are WICKED looking! I also really like Eyelash Vipers and Gaboons:
