    Handling

I bought my bp about 3 weeks ago, have fed her three times since, she is about 5 months old, she has let me, wife and the kids pet her. Would it be a good time to r pick her up and handle her? Since she is not used to being held, what would be the best way to pick her up? ANy help would be appreicated.

I would start out with short handling sessions and gradually build up, depending on how she tolerates it. Maybe start with 5 minutes every few days, and see how she does. I would let her get used to being held, and let her explore on her own before I started "petting" her. Let her get comfortable being out first.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.
