    New albino and het albino!

So last week I noticed an add on my local used website about an albino and het albino pair for $500 everything included. Thinking it was too good to be true I emailed them and asked of they were still for sale. The lady replied quickly and said I could pick them up Friday no problem. The add as well as their paperwork stated they were an 09 pair that they had bought from a big breeder across Canada and they had them flown into my province. Friday rolled around and I go to the ladies house to pick them up, she hands them to me in their tubs and their heat pads, takes my money and closes the door in my face without a word. A little upset and confused I stood on her porch and took a look at the animals quickly. Seeing they were both there and fine and alive I bought them home. When I got home and took a better look at them I realized how underweight they both her. The het female weighed in at around 800g which is lower then I would have liked but healthy. The male albino how ever made me sick to my stomach. He weighed in at 350g. I know its not a horrible weight and males dont need to be as big as females but they clearly had not been feeding him unless they had to..I could clearly see his spine and he looked like he hadn't had a meal in months. He seemed very jump and nervous. Taking a closer look at their tubes I noticed they both were covere in old shed and pee and had not been cleaned out in a long time. I have since fed both of them, no issue and the male is active and not as nervous. The female looks like she has a little but of scale rot, but she just went into blue so I'm hoping it sheds off.
It was so upsetting that someone would spend a lot of money on an animal and not even be able to take the time to feed him even once every couple of weeks.

Pictures to come! I just needed to rant a little about how rude some people are and undeserving of animals.

sounds like the lady knew that she did a bad job caring for them by the way she acted when you picked them up. I got a normal female a few years back that only weigh 750 grams in the beginning of july. very underweight. look like she just laid a clutch of eggs and was very underweight for doing that. she wouldn't of lasted much longer. I breed her that november at a weight of 2800 grams. not a typo, she is now over 4000 grams and one of my best feeders and she giving me great clutches even that year. good luck with the albino and het, don

very sad that someone would not care for a animal. I am so very happy to hear they are in a good home, and doing well.
