Solved My Space Issue - Very Excited
So, for those who were following my previous post about what to do with my normal male...I've found the perfect solution.
My mother called me today, and my little brother (now 16), wants a ball python for Christmas. So, she wanted to know if I would either help her find one or part with one of mine. (I had mentioned wanting a new baby boa, but not having the space for a 5th snake at the moment.) Now, I was thinking I would just put the baby boa in a tub and the space wouldn't be an issue. But now I have found a home for my sweet normal male and will have plenty of space for the baby boa! (Really my fiancé just wanted our pet count to stay the same...but I figured she wouldn't mind a tub...) Anyway, I will be taking Faron (my normal) home with me the next time I go and will be surprising my little brother with him. The kid is getting the whole kit and kaboodle, so he better be grateful. Lol. The arrangement also works perfectly for me because I will still get to see, and likely help care for, my normal I've raised from a baby. I was concerned that if I gave him to some random person that he wouldn't have been properly taken care of. He's sensitive. Lol. But my mother used to keep boas, so even if my brother gets over the initial excitement and stops paying attention, he will be cared for. She already told me on the phone that she would probably be the one that ended up taking care of him anyway, and she wants him too. (He went home with me for Christmas break a couple years ago and she loved him.) I have stipulated however that if he decideds he doesn't want him after a year or so, I want him back. I *should* have a rack by then and will be able to just pop him right in if that's the case. But she said she had no intention of giving him back because she'd have fallen in love with him by then.
So what this means is that my baby will be taken care of, I will get to see him, and I will almost definitely be picking up a baby male BCI at the show next weekend. Unless I just can't find the perfect one...in which case I suppose I will have to wait until March. But hopefully I will find the perfect little guy! Now I have to wait a whole week for the show though! Lol. Not to mention study for 2 finals...but hey! I get a new baby! Yay!
Just had to share my excitement.
