    Baby wont eat.

I hatched a baby spider back on may 20th. I waited a month and she never ate so i ended up assist feeding her a rat pinky. Since then ive assist fed her once a month (twice in sept.). Her wrap response is phenominal and she swallows it no problem. But i cant for the life of me get her to take a live rat ir mouse. Ive tried every week since she was born and she wont strike. She striked once and missed and gave up. Shes putting on weight but im getting scared

Any pointers? As of now she hasnt eaten in a month but i have offered. I just dont want to get her dependant on assist feeding.

What's her setup like? Some are less tolerant of small differences. I use clear tubs and I have a few blacked out tubs on hand at all times. This is one of my normal hatchling tubs (6qt) with the outside spray painted black. Some of them just need to feel more secure. Some go even farther and need the two hides. Or newspaper crushed up in the tub. Try keeping the tub a bit dirty. Leaving a shed or poop in there for a bit longer and try feeding when it's all smelly of them. Anyways those are a few things I do with some stubborn babies. Normally spiders are really good feeders. Might just need to feel a little more at home.

Shes in a 6.5 shoebox tub. I left the sticker out the one side to provide some security. I could never get her to sit in a hide. She always moved it out the way
