    New snake owner.

So my friend just bought me a snake the other day and since I've never owned one before, I'm trying to absorb as much information on them as possible currently (don't worry - the snake is at my friend's house for now until I learn). My information seeking led me to this forum and basically I'm just wondering if there's any newbie advice that can be given? I'll also mention that somewhere long down the line (in at least a few years or more) I might be interested in getting into breeding if I learn enough and feel comfortable with my knowledge base.

As of right now though, aside from basic care, I'm interested in learning what makes a "beautiful" snake. I'm quite interested to find out if my snake has a good pattern and colour (for what he is anyway which is a supposed 100% het clown). I also came across someone on here mentioning they liked the white lines around some of the pattern and I'm wondering if that's a desirable trait or if it was just personal preference?

This is Nine (he scraped his scales off his head previous to purchase, the little bugger):
