    Erasing the fear

I love reptiles and I love kids. Kids seem to have a fascination with reptiles even if they are afraid they still want to see and touch and I love to show them how amazing these animals are. And the smiles that come across there faces when we do shows at schools and they see the snakes up close. Its even better seeing how your own children come up if they are raised around them. I have three wonderful kids and they are all raised around reptiles and the oldest two have no fear at all over snakes or spiders or anything. Thats not to say they are not aware of limits within these animals. They know the dangers that some of them can pose but they are not afraid of them they are respectful of them. And its amazing to see my 7 month old smile when she sees snakes. Fear of reptiles I believe is something we are taught growing up. And my children are taught a little differently. Not to fear them but to respect them.

My children make me so proud! They are the future of our hobby and we need to protect it the best we can so they are legally allowed to enjoyed it the way we have enjoyed it!

Very cool pics Danny. I do reptile shows at birthday parties every weekend, and it's always nice see kids who are afraid of reptiles, want to hold everything I have by the end of the show.

Cool pics i love seeing kids enjoying reptiles. I don't have any of my own but my nephew will have reptiles comeing from me when he gets older, and the trailer park I live in has a lot of kids with out dads an they always running around playing so if I have one of the snakes out they like to come and see them an learn about them. Then the park kids go and tell their moms they want snakes haha I've talked to a few of the single moms around me and some even say when the kids are older if ill tell them what they need to know and help set up a tank their kid can have one lol so in next year or so ill be wondering around my trailer park helping kids set up snake houses and help them care for them and learn. Hmm might have agreed to a lot of work but kids are cool and the hobby needs young people to start too lol
