My rat had babies yesterday in the corner in the bedding. I got home this morning and she moved the babies into the food dish and pushed all her food out. Must be she knows all of her babies will be snake food in a month.

Don't be surprised if she moves them again, either. I have had mammas move from one corner, to the other, then back again.

I just had my first litter and momma keeps moving them all over the place it's funny watching her carry a large mouse sized rat pup around

Now the pups are 2 weeks old and all 12 are doing great. 6.6. I'm keeping the 6 females.
