So I was handling Amber the other night, and she started to get kinda flighty so I put her back in her enclosure. She went up to her water dish, and went right into the water (just her head and neck, rest of her body was outside). She just moved around underwater for a moment, almost looking for a way out. She eventually just picked her head up, and she blew water out of her nose! I thought this was pretty wierd. If anyone has any comments on this, I'd appreciate it

My snakes often keep their heads submerged for long periods of time. When they get bathed they don't care whether it'd water, or air, they even flick their tongues.

Thats pretty crazy....its like being underwater didn't even phase her at all. I know snakes, by nature, are great swimmers, but I was worried she may have gotten water in her lungs or something.

    Must be that ball-pythons.net paranoia....

I can answer that one. That is one of DavidBeard's Amazon Tree Boas. He donated a bunch of pics of his critters to be part of our community avatar collection. Sweet little snake, it is!

There were some disagreements and he decided he would be happier focusing primarily on his own forum.
