    Help?

I have a baby burm and I was trying to feed him. I did something careless and he constricted my fingers, I went and ran some water over him until he let go. Now he's huffing and puffing out his throat, kinda like frogs do. Will he be okay? Is he going to get sick? I'm worried now. I feel bad for doing that but I heard that's what you're supposed to do.

I don't know how to edit but the water was cold for maybe a few seconds. It takes a minute to warm up. Would that cause him to get sick if it was cold just for that few seconds? He isn't huffing anymore but i'm still worried about him.

More than likely he got water in his throat and is trying to get it out. Just keep an eye on him. Snakes are tough animals he should be ok.

I'm sure he'll be fine. Next time, just wait him out. A few minutes wrapped up by a baby isn't going to hurt anything.

Huffing could also just be hissing? The little guy may be quite upset at you for dowsing him with water ;-) But you should have nothing to worry about. But if you can handle it, like others stated, a little wrap from a baby is fine, but worry when they are older!

Thanks you guys, he's fine now, no huffing or anything anymore. It was my first constricting bite (I've gotten plenty of defensive from others) so I kinda freaked. Next time, hopefully won't happen again too much though...i'll try and stay calmer.
