    ????'s

Ok so I am way ahead of schedule on asking but for my own curiosity I would like to know what the best combo is with an unproven normal with no idea of its background my husband and I are considering that we may begin breeding in 3 years and would like to get an idea of what to look for in a mate for our girls we are not looking for any get rich quick schemes or anything of the like and are just thinking about it right now as I said we are probably minimum 2 1/2 years away from proper age and size for our girls but curious not the less on rather we should get a male soon and grow him up as well and what kind of male we would like to eventually if we start breeding move into the more elaborate morphs but we are looking for options that are interesting and not just plain normals if we do decide to breed on the other hand of that question what is the best bang for your buck so to speak as far as popularity and average price currently are concerned.

Wait till your girls are of breeding size, then buy a really nice 3-4 gene male. It won't take him as long to grow up and be ready to breed, usually just a year. It's all gonna come down to what morphs YOU like the most. When you know what those are, buy your male. Start a "male" fund now and start saving. By the time your girls are ready you should have a good amount saved up to get a really nice male

I would pick a 3-4 gene male that you'd like. For example if you like calico, lessers and pastels I would look at getting a male with all three of those. And a good example of it

thank you for explaining what a 3-4 gene was LOL like I said I have never done snake breeding

Also is it best to only breed normals to dominant or codominant morphs and stay away from recessives.

And if I buy a morph male unless it is something very very distinct how do you tell when the babies pip and crawl out rather or not they are that morph since there are only certain traits that determine the morph and patterns can vary

I would stay away from recessives unless you want to take babies from your clutches, raise them up, and then either breed them together or breed a daughter back to dad. If you want visual babies right away, stick to a codominant or dominant gene.

As for how to tell, you will just have to be able to distinguish between the two. For me, since it's really hard for me to tell the difference between the subtle morphs still, I plan on only breeding obvious morphs. I'm currently working with spiders and lessers. I'll be adding a pastave very soon.

WOW! That sounds like a gorgeous combination! Start saving! At least you'll know all your babies will be at least pastel. I love Enchi...anything with enchi is pretty rad.
