Bredli Feeding Help
I picked up a baby bredli about two weeks ago and I have yet to get her to feed in my care. The shop where I got her got her from a breeder, and she shop owner said she fed a few days prior to us getting her on a mouse pink. I have tried mouse pinks of varying size, and senting them with ASF and have not been able to get her to eat, she shows no interest. I have tried to get her worked up by messing with her tail a little bit, but to her the mouse does not exist. Hot side temp is 90, cool about 80, humidity is about 70% shes in a shoebox size tub. Any suggestions? I have been waiting of my ASF to drop a new litter, but seems like they have no desire to do so, probably cuz they know lol.

Are the pinks live or FT? If FT have you thought about braining?

They are live, guess I failed to mention that. I have thought about it, I need to pick some more up, and ill give that a shot.

I had a baby jungle refuse to eat eat for 3-4 weeks. In that time I offered live, f/t, mice, rats. Then I tried a smaller hopper asf. I left it in the cage a few hours and she finally took it, now I toss one in and she gobbles it right down. Remember they are able to take larger meals than you would think, and I think that they sometimes don't want the smaller meals.

I keep hearing that, but I am unsure as to what is considered a larger mean... shes pretty tiny, mouse pinks are like twice her size in diameter...

So I tried braining a pinky saturday on feeding night. I thought I was going to get lucky because at first she showed interest. Unfortunately after a shortwhile she pretty much ignored it and went on her way. Any other suggestions?

How tiny is tiny?
What's the weight?
If she can't take a rat pink then must be pretty small. Scent the mouse pinks with rats. You don't want a Carpet "stuck" on mice.
70% humidity seems a little high, unless they need to be higher..? Carpets should be around 50% a little higher is shed.

I realize the humidity is high, I am trying to get it knocked down a little bit. Ill weigh her, I honestly never did, I know I know. Here is a pic of her with a mouse pink.

Ill weigh her when I get home tonight. I have a feeder rat that is nice and fat and pregnant, I kept her so I can have some rat pinks, hopefully she pops soon. I just had a littter of ASF's on sunday, I will see if that interests her any once their a bit bigger.

Wow she is tiny. How many meals did she have before being sold to you?
Scent the mouse pink. Unless you get very small rat pinks in your litter.
Good luck

Im not sure she had any meals before she came to me. She came to me through someone who got them from someone who was getting rid of them, likely dumped at his store, he did not specify. The other 5 he has at the store are eating great, he said I can bring her back and he will see what he can do or I can take another one. I just weighed her, shes coming in at a whopping 20g. I intend on trying another week and if I cannot get her to take anything I will probably take her to him, I am not comfortable assist feeding or anything yet, so if that is necessary he will get the job done.
