    Perfect background?

Often I notice pictures of snakes on a perfect white back. I assume this is a photoshop selecting snake -> cut background out so you have a pure looking picture. So..I'm trying to figure that out as well.. Just testing some shots to see. Any insight from you all with perfect pics is always appreciated (getting that "perfect" shot, what to use if anything in photoshop, etc)

I think that most people just use a light tent... no photoshop required.

Even with a light tent though you don't get the crisp white, right? I'm working on getting a light tent up and running as well. It seems like there is a huge difference between light tent unedited, and light tent + background chop though. Maybe it's just me *shrug*

Sorry, just bored and fiddling around

It's best to fiddle when board... Hmm that sounds wrong but maybe use white bottom and white sides? Not too sure I love photography but my camera was stolen

    Perhaps!

Am I missing something? Is background chopping frowned upon or something? I didn't think it would be an issue as I'm not messing with the colors of the snake at all

I think your pictures look good I don't see why that would be a negative doing it that way.

No, I'm not saying that it is a bad thing at all, simply a lot of work if you have a lot of pictures to do... Personally I would just get a nice light tent and not have to shop everything.
