My brother in law just got out of the marine corps and he has an argus monitor that he is keeping in my reptile room until the house he is buying clears and is ready to be moved into. I just had some questions because I am not sure this guy is completely informed but I have read some care sheets and done some of my own research. I just want some info from anybody that has kept/keeping these guys maybe double check what I have gathered from a couple different care sheets.

Humidity: 70%

Temps: gradient of 75 and 115 basking spot with a 75 watt bulb and a UV bulb.

Feeding (how often do they eat)? He eats for the most part adult mice and weaned rats with the addition of some roaches and large crickets. Dusted with calcium sup. Daily? Every other day? None of the care sheets specify how often he should be fed but I am assuming that it should be much more often than a snake but I am not sure if daily feedings would be too much or if it should every other day???

While he is in my care I cant provide much for climbing and digging but I just want to be sure what I can provide is properly applied here. He is 2' long and is in a 60 x 24 x 24 until a new larger enclosure is built. They are in the process of building it currently and it should be finished by the time the house is ready to be moved into. He has a large bowl for water that he can fit his entire body into with some extra room. He is on a couple inches of coco husk. Any help is appreciated!
