What does 0.1 1.0 and 2.0 mean?

I see some people say they have a 0.1 ball or 1.0 or 2.0 ball what does that mean?

Also what does "well started" mean?

The first numer is male. 2nd is female, 3rd is unknown gender.

Ex: if I say I have 2.5.4 ball pythons means I have:
2 males
5 females
4 unknown gender.

Well started means that a hatchling is being sold after having eaten several times.
